With this Field Guide on CD, you have a choice of the sequence in which to view the plants. You may want to see the plants by flower color or by family relationships, or see all the plants that grow in a certain plant community. Unlike with a printed field guide, you can choose the sequence according to your interest and change your choice at any time.
When you click on Common Name or Botanical Name in the upper-left corner of the screen you will see a list of plant names in the sequence of your choice. A click on a plant name will display the selected Plant Page.
When you click on Family Name, Flower Color, Plant Community or Plant Type you will see a list of those categories. A click on one of those categories will expand the list to show the corresponding plant names on the left, and information about the chosen category, often with photographs to illustrate details in the text, on the main screen. A click on a plant name will then display the selected Plant Page.
You can use the "Next" or "Prev" buttons to page through the plant screens, much as you would leaf through a book, but in the order that you chose.
