Eaton Canyon Moonlight Nature Walk, Friday, July 18, 2008, 7:30 pm, Eaton Canyon Nature Center, Pasadena, CA.
We lead evening walks, along with several other docents, to see, hear and smell the canyon in the dark. They are held on the Friday closest to the full moon, so the dates vary. The Eaton Canyon Nature Center website is www.ecnca.org.
CNPS/Angeles National Forest Mountain Plant Walk, Saturday, August 2, 2008, 10:00 am, Chilao Visitor Center, Angeles National Forest, CA.
Gabi and Cliff will join Jane Strong in this jointly sponsored mountain plant walk. Jane will help people identify the plants that we see, and provide information on a theme of her choosing. This free plant walk is appropriate for beginners, as well as people with more plant experience. It is scheduled for the first Saturday of each month. Meet at the Chilao Visitor Center. Carpooling is encouraged. Carpoolers can meet that 9:00 am on Highway 2 (Angeles Crest Highway) just north of the exit from the 210 freeway.

Gabi will host the monthly program of the San Gabriel Mountains Chapter of CNPS. We will have an interesting speaker on a topic of native plant gardening, conservation, plant identification, or another California native plant subject.

Gabi and Cliff will join Mei Kwan as co-leaders for this weekend of snowshoeing, tracking and naturalizing in the Mammoth-June Lake area.
